TDS stands for Total Dissolved Solids, and it is a measure of how much salt and other minerals are dissolved in water. For instance, at a TDS of 500 mg/L, there are 500 mg/L of dissolved minerals in the water. TDS is a measure of the concentration of dissolved solids in a water sample.
