What is the Agua One Drop and how does it work?

The Agua One Drop water conditioner is a whole house water filtration system with numerous benefits which include greatly reducing hard water scale, eliminating chlorine, VOCs, partial chloramines, removing toxic heavy metals and killing moderate bacteria sources through a 6-stage process which includes catalytic, magnetic and KDF media filtration.

What is KDF?

KDF is what we put inside the tank that filters the water. We use this material instead of carbon because it lasts much longer and prevents bacteria.

How does the Agua One Drop reduce hard water scale?

During the 6-stage process it binds calcium particles to each other rather than to your plumbing and plumbing fixtures so that all is needed is a damp cloth to remove any residual mineral deposits rather than usual abrasives normally required. It also results in less soap usage and creates a lower surface tension which is excellent for plants and your personal consumption.

How much scale does it reduce?

This varies based on water chemistry but through independent testing in Southern California, we measured scale reduction by approximately 93.8%. We tested this by weighing treated copper pipe vs. non treated copper pipe over a period of one year.

Will my water test soft like a water softener?

No. The calcium hardness is not being removed. The Agua Drop transforms the calcium into a suspended solid giving you similar benefits as a traditional water softener. Most water hardness treatment systems rely on sodium ion exchange which can be harmful to both people and the environment.

What is so important about not using chemicals or sodium in treating water?

You’re not spending money on them.
You’re not ingesting them into your system. Water softener water has high sodium content.
You’re not adding to the pollution of our water supplies.

Will I get that slippery feel when bathing similar to a water softener?

No. That slippery feel with a traditional water softener doesn’t mean soft water. The sodium ions react with soap and your skin for that slippery sensation. Pure water with zero hardness doesn’t give you that feel either. Slippery doesn’t determine soft water.

What else can the Agua Guru One Drop be used for?

The Agua Guru One Drop has numerous applications. Not only does it prevent hard water scale in water heaters and tankless water heaters, but we also use them for pre-treatment of commercial reverse osmosis systems, so factories don’t have to buy salt for traditional water softeners. Anywhere there is hard water scale, the Agua Guru One Drop can be used.

Will I notice a difference in my house once installed?

Yes! Immediately once you install it you will notice. The Agua Guru One Drop will break up existing scale in your plumbing. Many customers must unscrew their faucet aerators to clean out their water pipes over time after installation.

If this product is so great, why isn’t every company selling it?

Other companies are selling magnetic devices that strap onto the main line supply of your home. These systems are rarely effective and lack the ingenuity of the Agua Guru One Drop which also incorporates catalytic surface chambers and an all KDF media. Competitors use GAC and coconut mostly.

I see other systems for sale that say they prevent hard water scale as well without using chemicals. Do these system work?

Many companies are using Filtersorb SP or ScaleStop media in their systems. This media does prevent hard water scale but needs to be replace every 3-5 years and can be expensive while the Agua Drop scale prevention last 4+ times as long without any maintenance. Filtersorb SP and ScaleStop also do not filter your water. Most times you need a second tank for chlorine, VOC and heavy metal filtration.

What if I want fluoride and other impurities removed from my water?

For those water concerns we do supply post filters with every system! These filtration systems are easy to change and last approximately 2 years. We always recommend an under the sink reverse osmosis system for drinking and cooking water. The Agua Guru One Drop takes out harsh chemicals but doesn’t purify the water as a reverse osmosis system does.

Why should I care about hard water scale in my plumbing?

The Agua One Drop will save you thousands of dollars on all appliances that use water. You will see an expanded life for your water heater, dishwasher, clothes washer, and all water using systems in your home. Not to mention over time some homes need to be 100% re-piped due to scale which on average can cost upwards of $8,000-$15,000.
